This is how we party!!!!!! Zoot! Zoot!

We are on to greener pastures and I am soooo excited

Howdy Zumba Kittens!

We have wrapped up another fantastic year of dancing our cares away. Next year (2011-2012) promises to bring some amazing changes to our Zumba tribe. I am in the process of working on bigger and better things for you (while making you smaller and fit) . I will give you details when things are finalized. I want you to know this all about YOU!

Summer conference is going to get me to expand our classes to get the most out of each and every dance. My conference schedule is jam packed with classes that I can share with you when I get back. I'm fired up, how about you?!

I am going to spend my summer walking, horseback riding, biking, running, and training for Zumba. Oh how I love the warmer weather. If any of you want to join me just give me a call. I always welcome company because it makes the party so much more fun. I love to hit Wildwood, Whitepark, and then go to my walkout basement for Zumba; it is always nice and cool down there. Sometimes I even dance outside since there is no one behind my house. I'm also looking forward to doing some Aqua Zumba in my pool this year.

As soon as I have information for our new Zumba year I will post it.

Take care until we meet again and keep moving!!!

Zumba in full swing!

We finally are not getting our Zumba interrupted and are heating up the place on a regular basis. I feel like I am getting stronger every week! I hope you are too.

If you have any suggestions for songs you want to stay or go, let me know. I will work on adding a new song or two a week so all suggestions are welcome.

Keep it up, I am seeing you looking better and getting in better shape every class. I am proud of you!

B2 Class in Vandalia, Ohio

Last weekend I went to Vandalia, Ohio to get certified in an advanced Zumba class, Basics 2. The instructor works closely with Beto, Zumba's creator. It was a class to improve my techniques and to learn new dance moves. We worked on belly dancing, Samba, and Flamenco. We broke down songs and learned new choreography. It was all about making the class better for you.

The class was held at a Zumba studio that is run by the husband and wife team that originally taught me how to teach Zumba. Doug and Joan also work closely with Beto and travel the country to create Zumba instructors. The studio is 2 1/2 hours from Bedford and I was planning on driving home but the weather had another plan for me. In Vandalia there was icy rain and up in Bedford was ice and snow. After dancing for 7 hours I was actually happy to get a hotel and sleep for 9 hours before having to make the trek home.

Now I have 2 certifications now and will be getting a 3rd, Zumba Toning, at the Zumba conference this summer in Orlando. I also plan on getting my Zumba Gold (older active students), Aqua Zumba (pool), and Zumbatonics (kids) certifications. I will have 3 all together (B1, B2, and Toning) by the end of this year and my goal is to add one a year until I have them all. I feel that to keep at my best for you I need to keep on top of the latest classes that are available to me.

I will keep you posted on Toning classes for the next school year.

Keep moving Kittens!

Horses have really big feet!

I got kicked by my horse this morning. I have a nasty bruise and lump on my left leg. Good thing it isn't a Zumba day. I was supposed to run today (I am training for a half marathon) but I decided to take a break and ice it so I am ready to go for tomorrow. I bowled tonight and all was good.

I took a plastic bag filled with hay through his stall to the pasture. When I came back through the stall the bag was flapping and he kicked at it and I was in the way. Dumb move on my part. I am just glad it was a lesson learned with just a bruise. He has been trying to make it up to me all day. Once he realized he kicked Mom you could tell he felt really bad. He is a very sweet horse. I was just a dumb Mom.

Some of my friends at bowling are interested in taking our next class. I am excited to get more people to join our party. If you get someone to join next session I have a free t-shirt for you! It is always more fun with your girls.

See you tomorrow my Zumba kittens!
